Public and Private AccessScreening Shorts has two modes of user access – public (not logged in) mode and private (logged in) mode. 1.1 Public AccessAny user can gather information about the Screening Shorts resource but will not be able to browse, search, view or download any of the film clips whilst in public access mode. 1.2 Private AccessEducational users, typically teachers, students and other lead practitioners, provided they have login credentials, can browse, search, view and download higher resolution clips for educational purposes. Screening Shorts offers two kinds of film clips – a collection of British Film Institute (BFI) short films and a collection of MIE video tutorials. The BFI short films are presented as online streams but they are also provided as downloads. On the other hand, the MIE video tutorials are offered as online streams only – they are not available for download. 2. CopyrightScreening Shorts is a collaborative project between Creative Scotland and Education Scotland. All intellectual property rights for this website resource, excluding the stills and moving image files, are owned jointly by Creative Scotland and Education Scotland. All moving image files and accompanying stills on this site are owned by or have been licensed by the British Film Institute as well as numerous other third party individuals or organisations for use on this website. For titles where a copyright owner has not been identified or cannot be contacted, a risk analysis has been carried out by Creative Scotland.
